GETTING STARTED · PREPARING MATERIALS

Good preparation.
A simpler way to set up your store.

To launch an online store, you need clear business information, an organized product offering, and an agreed delivery method. This list will help you gather materials and identify what still needs to be prepared before entering it into Connect Marketplace.

You do not need to complete everything before the first conversation. First, gather what you already have, mark any gaps, and agree with the Connect team on the initial scope of your store.

Go through the guide
Preparing an online store with digital task cards for the catalog, payments, and delivery.

Business information and people responsible for the store

Prepare the official name of the business entity, OIB or the corresponding identification number, address, and contact details. Determine the brand name you want to display to customers and whether it differs from the company's official name.

Agree on who approves content and prices, who processes orders, and who answers customer questions. This way, during preparation, we know whom to send each question to.

  • Company name, address, and identification details.
  • Public email address and phone number for customers, as well as a contact for cooperation with the Connect team.
  • Payment or billing details, if required for the selected model.
  • List of people who need to be granted administrative access.

Logo, brand presentation, and photographs

Provide the existing logo in a high-quality original format, a brief presentation of the business, and materials you have the right to use. If you have defined brand colors or guidelines, attach them with the other files.

Product photographs should clearly show what the customer receives. Prepare a main photograph and useful additional views: details, packaging, dimensions, or the product in use. Do not include the price in the photograph itself if the price changes frequently.

  • Logo and a brief brand description.
  • Original photographs associated with the corresponding items.
  • Existing catalogs, presentations, or videos, if you have them.
  • Authorship or permission-to-use information when required.

A product catalog that can be entered reliably

For each product, prepare the name, item code, description, price, and availability. In the description, include properties important to the purchase decision: purpose, material or composition, dimensions, package contents, and method of use, where applicable.

If a product has sizes, colors, or other distinguishing properties, clearly separate the variants and their corresponding codes. Label photographs so they can be linked to the exact product. Agree on the format for larger entries or imports before preparing the final table.

  • A unique code and clear name for each item.
  • Suggested category and product description.
  • Price, tax treatment details, and sales unit for checking the settings.
  • Quantities or the agreed method for tracking availability.
  • Variants, photographs, and preparation or delivery times.

Detailed product and catalog instructions

Payments, delivery, and customer information

Determine where you sell, how customers can pay, and how they will receive their orders. Prepare delivery areas, prices, timeframes, and any restrictions. For personal pickup, provide the address and the method for arranging pickup.

Gather information about purchases, returns, complaints, and privacy that applies to your business. If you already have these documents, send the current versions for review of their application in the store.

How to organize the submission of materials

Divide the materials into folders, such as Business information, Brand, Products, and Photographs. In a shared list, indicate what is ready, what is missing, and who is preparing it.

For larger files and data required to connect systems, first agree on the submission method with the Connect team. Do not add passwords or API keys to public documents or the product catalog.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to prepare my entire product range right away?

No. Agree on the initial product selection according to priorities and the readiness of the materials. It is important that the data for the items you launch with is complete and verified.

Can I send an existing catalog or Excel spreadsheet?

Yes, send an example for review. Before preparing in bulk, confirm that the structure and data match the agreed method of entry or import.
